About Nepenthes Nepenthes was founded in 1988 with a mission to bring unique and hard-to-find products to Japan. Keizo Shimizu started the brand in a modest space in a lesser-known area of Tokyo, and shortly after, Daiki Suzuki joined the team. What began as a dedication to American-made goods evolved into a thoughtful approach to collaborating with emerging brands, eventually leading to the creation of Nepenthes’ own labels. Today, with multiple locations around the world, Nepenthes has earned a devoted following of fans seeking something truly distinctive.
